Thermodynamic Hot Water

What is a Thermodynamic Hot Water System and how does it work?
A Thermodynamic Hot Water System is a renewable heating system for water, without the need to use gas. An external thermodynamic panel system collects solar and environmental energy day and night, the heat is then transferred to a water cylinder, heating water up to 55°C for general everyday use.

Is 55°C hot enough to satisfy my needs?
55°C is very hot, a humans core body temperature is 37°C. Anything above this can potentially scald you.

Can it provide enough hot water to meet my needs?
Of course, the cylinders are available in a range of sizes to meet the needs of the user.

Does the panel have to go onto a roof or face a certain way?
No, the Thermodynamic Hot Water System is designed so it can be roof or wall mounted so you have options in regards to the installation site.

What happens in the winter, when it’s raining or cold outside?
The Thermodynamic Hot Water System is designed to work 365 days a year in all weather conditions.

Is it safe?
The panels contain a safe, environmentally friendly non-combustible refrigerant. Once a week the electrical element in the panels will heat up the water to 70°C, this combats the possibility of legionnaire’s disease.

Do I need to inform my insurers?
We recommend with a significant home improvement such as a Thermodynamic Hot Water System you should inform your insurers to ensure they are covered.

How long will the system last?
Standard Thermodynamic Panels come with a 5 year warranty and is expected to last up to 20 years with normal usage, additional warranty can be provided with your installer if you would like longer.

How long will the system take to pay for itself?
Depending on your hot water usage you can save up to 35% on your annual bill. The more hot water you use, the greater your savings will be.

ESOS – Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme

Does ESOS only affect large businesses?
No, there will be certain cases where SMEs will also need to comply with ESOS.

How do we know if we qualify for ESOS?
ESOS applies to all large organisations in the UK. This means that an organisation qualifies for ESOS if it has: a) 250 or more employees, or, b) fewer than 250 employees but an annual turnover and balance sheet of more than £38,937,777 and £33,486,489, respectively.

Will your business need to comply with ESOS?
An increasing number of businesses and organisations are now following the international standard ISO 50001 energy management system. Certification under ISO 50001 energy management system is permitted as a compliance route under ESOS, as an alternative to undertaking ESOS Audits.

What is an ESOS Lead Assessor?
If you need an ESOS Lead Assessor, speak to our ESOS Consultant, who is a registered ESOS Lead Assessor for expert advice to help your organisation comply with the ESOS Scheme. He’s also a certified LCEA, NDEA and ACEA.

Photovoltaics (PV)

Why Free Solar?
Energy security and the reduction of annual energy costs are becoming increasingly important to the community, as the cost of electricity these days is becoming a major outlay for all bill payers.

What Does Free Solar Mean for You?
Free solar will allow you to use free electricity during the day to wash and dry clothes, wash dishes, cook meals and even produce hot water.

Is it actually free?
YES, our service is absolutely 100% free. In the case of FREE solar panels you receive the energy to support your appliances and lower your energy bills, the electricity which is normally sold back to the grid is managed by the funder of your FREE solar panels, which in-turn means you receive the benefit of LOWER ENERGY BILLS.

What’s the Catch?
No catch, but you will need to have the panels on your roof for 20 years and you will not receive the Feed in Tariff income normally associated with Solar PV.

My roof is not south facing, is this a problem?
Not necessarily, an east or west facing roof can still provide good generation figures.

Will it affect my Mortgage?
Leases for roof mounted solar PV comply with the Council for Mortgage Lenders Guidelines and many homes have already been sold with free solar PV installed.

What will happen if I sell the property?
The free energy will simply be transferred as part of the sale and the new owners will benefit.

Will I need to change supplier?
No and you can still change supplier to get the cheapest price as often as you wish.

Will I still get a bill?
Yes, but expect it to be much lower.

Will I need to read the meter and report readings?
No the system is monitored remotely.

What is something goes wrong with the panels?
The system is monitored remotely and any problems will be rectified as soon as possible.

I have a slate roof, will this be a problem?
No.

Do I need to switch the panels on each day?
No, the system’s operation is entirely automatic.

Will the panels adversely affect any of the electrical equipment in the house?
No all electrical equipment is compatible with the panels.

Will I receive an electrical certificate for the work?
Yes.
